The Path Of Nectar Poem by Gayatri Phukan

The Path Of Nectar

Rating: 5.0

You'd arrive one day
In a dark night
I'd walk away
Hand in hand with you
Secretly
From far to further away
For you only
I have bedecked myself
So long
Managed to keep my body
In good shape and form
Put so much effort in that
Knowing certainly
You'd arrive one day to get me
I have sowed seed planted saplings
Love hope and what not
So much emotion
Even on embracing
At the time of departure
Perhaps
The teardrop of sorrow
Would ooze out
A painful sigh
Who would notice
My cherished red rose plant
The flowers that was raised to its youth with my toil
And the empty hearth of hope
Staying warm by my touch
Still I'd go with you
The day you'd want me to go
Must go on the path of immortality
You know
Death is the path to immortality
You should clear the path for people
The eternal path to immortality.
