The Peace We Could Do With Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Peace We Could Do With

Rating: 5.0

The steam of my coffee blurred my sight
But I saw through it
And the truth was revealed
It was awful that I won't show it to the youth
Like Mr. Cohen says: it ain't worth a dime
How could you sit there and watch
All the evil stuff that is going on?
Don't you want to stop it?
I want to go and hug you before
Yr tears start coming
But I need a hug myself
Why not, hug each other
Until the peace we could do with arrives
As the world is self-destructing
