The Phoenix Poem by Bhavyakeerti Bohrey

The Phoenix

Rating: 5.0

Every morning she rises
From the ashes of her past
With a heart full of life
Casting a light bright and vast.

She’ll go on through everything
Life decides to throw her way
The sword of the dauntless in her palm
Each monster she’ll bravely slay

She is the beauty of the sun
But also its harsh heat
She is the princess of the palace
And the conqueror of defeat.

She holds her chin up
Her shoulders are back
A golden diadem on her head
The one who leads the attack.

Her smile never fails
To entrance every soul
She maintains with grace
Every title that she holds.

She won’t ever hesitate
To lend a hand of life
She will put in all her soul
Into ending all the strife.

She can hold a sceptre
Just as well as a blade
And if looks can really kill
Then she’s the perfect maid.

She’ll manage her corset,
As flawlessly as her armour
She might be the last thing you see
As an assassin or a charmer

But do you know of her other side?
The one she never shows
The one that always bears the pain
Of every hit and blow.

Well let me remind all of you
She’s still a single mortal
Who is used to hiding her sorrow
Under every smile and chortle.

She’ll always lend her strength to others
You want to know how she makes up for that?
Oh don’t worry! I promise!
She’ll let you know when she gets it back.

And at the end of the day
Through all the hardships and labour
She lets the fire engulf her
Don’t fret! It’s doing her a favour.

But who is this lady, you might wonder
Who’s as perfect as a goddess!
The queen, the mother, the warrior.
And everybody’s solace.

She isn’t somewhere very far
But rather quiet near
Just look around and see
There’s at least one like her here.

That is true my friends!
You heard me quite right!
She’s in every single woman
That you can see in sight.

That best friend you had years ago
Or the teacher who taught you some time back
There has always been more to every female
Too much for you to keep track.

So whenever you see a woman
Respect all that she doesn’t lack
And remember before throwing her to the wolves
That she will return leading the pack.

'And remember before throwing her to the wolves That she will return leading the pack- - - - - - - - - - - Naturally gifted with finer qualities like love, grace, , beauty and care, a woman also possesses an undying spirit of a warrior, the courage, and strength to fight all odds.Like a Phoenix she rises from ashes.

She might be the last thing you see As an assassin or a charmer - - - - nice and interesting lines.. And remember before throwing her to the wolves That she will return leading the pack. - - - - to respect a woman is just to respect a human being.. male and female are just the same: the two faces of the same medal - but women are wiser, usually.. ;)

Thank you :) I believe that males and females are equal. But I also believe that nature has always made the females more durable as compared to the males. While both complete each other, the females of every species and race are always stronger, though sometimes people forget that. I think that all females should remember and acknowledge their strengths and keep moving forward because that's what we were built for. All of them should always remember that they are no less than the males and they should be proud to be a lady. Just my PoV :)
