江南水暖岸榕翠
桥左径弯山杏黄
怜悯梅花如我瘦
爱惜菊蕊似君香


The Plum Blossoms Thin And Chrysanthemums Fragrant

In the south of the Changjiang River
water is warm
banyans are emerald
on the bank
Left of the bridge
the winding path
apricots are yellow
in the hill

You cherish the chrysanthemum stamens
fragrant like you
I pity the plum blossoms
thin like me
