The Poet And The Teenagers Poem by PANAGIOTIS TSAKRIS

The Poet And The Teenagers

Let's talk about time.
And began the subtraction:
- Get old, leave now,
Time to leave now,
Go now,
Now.
Let it stay: the 'now'
since the 'before' no longer appears.
et it be that too.
You definitely do not need a future.
What good will I see?
Only the closed curtain, I know for sure.
They wondered wonderfully:
-Timeless, restless, exiled from the cycle of the seasons,
with inactive, irrevocable acts,
without 'nostimon imar' of the weather?
-Are we changing?
Take my books, give me your time.
Nobody spoke.
The books did not fall out of place
and their time remained with them,
curled up on their feet,
warming them-still- with his breath
while he made them
and small, imperceptible scratches.
