The Poet Smiles Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

The Poet Smiles

Rating: 5.0

The young poet smiles
With great ease,
The little child sees
And asks him calmly,
"Oh poet!
Why do you always smile? "
Hearing this,
The poet kisses the loving child
And says to him,
"I have a pleasant poetic soul inside,
Which always smiles
And so I smile,
For this I can spontaneously write glorious poetry."

Indeed, a smile brightens two people: The one giving and the one receiving.

Loved reading this poem which is simple yet elegant. There is no place quite like a poet's heart. Thanks dear poet for this remarkable work.
