The Priceless Gift Poem by Walterrean Salley

The Priceless Gift

Rating: 4.8

I went searching for the Lord,
And unto Him my soul did call.
When nothing of Him I did see,
A bird came perching in a tree.
He sung a song of melody;
That little bird was sent to me.

I asked him not to go away,
My ears enjoyed his song.
He sung a while and rested a bit,
And had to leave before too long.

Then suddenly he flew away;
How I wished he could have stayed.

For ME! All for me
Such precious gift was sent that day.
The Savior did it all
To let me know He “heard” my “call, ”
And wasn't far away.

Faith is an oasis in the heart which can never be reached by the caravan of thinking.
