The Puppetsand Marrionets Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

The Puppetsand Marrionets

In the lights of the passing days,
You have seen, touched and greeted me as we passed each other.

But last night in a twists of script, a scenario becomes as feasible as my nightmares about us.

Followed by so many other people,
in a marrionet dance, in a grand ball of the ocassion,

we were tied with puppet strings,
with our animated smiles and greetings.

Instructed to feel this way and that,
told that love was a commitment and the sum of everything.

Materials were temporary currencies, gourmets are appetizers.

More were to hopes and salvations in believing God and the higher purpose.

In the fields of snow and stimulated highways of life and sunshine.

Either choices and wrong moves enters this hollow space of nowhere but this true destination.

With warm handshakes and smiles and aroused skins,
we greeted the passing days.

Waiting for the remote buttons, the Click.

All channels on the giant screen are put to stop at its own pace.

For each individual and the flashing lights are gone and dimmed
forever.

Reviving any semblances of life or the whims from the great unknown.

The cryptic scripts are the dead people.
