The Refuge - Poem by Annmarie Fox

The Refuge
By Annmarie Fox©

Safety, security
I found them here
No looking over my shoulder
I need not fear.

Shelter I needed
Comfort I got
For someone like me
It means quite a lot.

And when it comes time
To say my goodbyes
I’ll be leaving the refuge
With tears in my eyes.
