The River And The Sea Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

The River And The Sea

The river reached the sea
To mingle its pain
When the sea was floating
In the waves of sorrows;
The river asked the sea:
"Why you have so much sorrows? "
The sea calmly replied:
"You have melted in me by drop by drop
And your pains became mine, too"
Then the river intervened and said:
"Now we are not the river and the sea
And our pains and sorrows became
The collective sorrows of the vast ocean"
They soon became the water of the nature.
