The Sadness Of This World Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

The Sadness Of This World

Sitting down by the bank of a flowing river,
With tears in my eyes!
Because of the sadness of this world,
Where mankind had turned the planet earth into the weapons of war.
Impudent!
Insolent,
But, i have my honey for my sweetness;
Like the sight of the rainbow in the clouds of hope.
Speak! ! Oh Mighty One and i will listen;
For the carcasses of mankind out of war are now being eaten by the birds,
With the sadness of this world.
Folklore, mythology and symbols!
With Mithraism to a call;
But, these are not the answers to the truth,
Since, the Creator made all thingsa dn set out His Laws.
Sitting down by the bank of a flowinf river,
My heart bleeds with tears from my cry!
Of what mankind had turned out to be today;
With works of weapons of war than, with the words of peace,
but, i have honey for my sweetness.
Listen to the One Who speaks and follow the truth!
For out of the weapons of came out the carcasses of war;
And, the birds of the air are now eating them up,
With the sadness of this world.
