The Sands Of Time Poem by Ellie Sutton

The Sands Of Time

Rating: 5.0

Are the sands of time
So cruel? How they cause
Us to forget times that mean
More than should ever be forgotten.
It’s the sands of time that
Misplace those moments
That should never be mislaid.
They’ll become less than a memory.
The sands of time
Slip through our fingers.
Fragments of our lives become
Figments of idle mentality.
The passage of time,
A striking phenomenon
In essence. In reality, the loss
Of youth. Of naivety. Of time.

May we do the best we can and hold on to it for as long as we can. The day will come when there'll only be memories. Beautiful. Thanks. 10
