The Scavengers Poem by Josey Alfred

The Scavengers

Rating: 5.0

Scavengers dwell with each of us
From birth through the passage of time
They are with us, but we rarely notice!
Till we face them when our time run out.

When we are through, the truth descends
On us that they traveled with us!
And carried their duty, in different ways
Acting as x or ys, surely without fail.

The final one takes us back to dust,
And dispose our wasted body and soul!
Even the remnants of our memory!
To be buried, in the womb of time.
