The Scent Of A Rose Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

The Scent Of A Rose

Ah, but she was lovely, she was lovely
As roses are, when renewed.
This time, instinctively he knew
She only needed to be nourished carefully
And loved tenderly.
Now as we gaze upon her face,
Dew kissed again in morning sun,
In full bloom is her radiance.
She is reborn and placed at the garden gate,
Where all who enter hear the music
Of her heart and see the smile of a rose,
Saved by love because he knew,
Ah yes, he knew!
