The Seventeen Years Itch Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Seventeen Years Itch

Rating: 5.0

Seventeen years of their itch
my lovely daughter-in-law is surely no bitch
but today they don´t celebrate their wedding anniversary with me
oh so sad, but still I have my glee, no I ain´t their enemy

Sunday is the Lord´s Day
but Today the 11th of March it´s also theirs
I have congratulated them though
have sent them a grand Bouquet of loveliest Roses
have called the florist and ordered these flowers
surely the bouquet will come within these hours
as we reside in the one and same city-town
I in the suburbs and they in downtown

May God bless them grandest
and their mutual happiness be always greatest!

The Seventeen Years Itch
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Seventeen years ago my eldest son married her and they are very happy up till now, even though no children be born. They wish own kids or else none. No adopted babies or so. My eldest son said to me: Mummy, I love her very much and if Jany cannot give birth to our baby, I wish no baby too, and we are very happy though. Two years ago they bought a cute dog, picked up from the streets in Spain imported to the NL.

At the Dutch Asiel, that is a municipal boarding house for dogs and the animals are for sale. Fixed prices and not to bargain.
They got the assurance that they can return Fiko if the dog is still not listening to their commands. They wish to keep Fiko for always so they sent Fiko to a Dog´s Training Center to Obey. Fiko is now almost three years old, very barky but now he is listening well and I must admit a smartest and cutest dog loveable to play with from Spanish origin, ah cutest obeying Fiko and yet he has his own dogs-nality.

This poem is about their 17th wedding anniversary and not about Fiko.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

You have sent them a grand Bouquet of loveliest Roses and they might have remembered their anniversary to celebrate. Lovely daughter-in-law and son will definitely feel happiness and affection. May God bring unlimited happiness and fortune for them on occasion of their 17th wedding anniversary. Fiko is now obeying them and we feel so glad hearing about. This poem is excellently penned...10

Thank you so much, Sir. I have only sons and my daughter-in-law's family is abroad, no one resides in NL, so I really care for her as for my own children. I never showed my love and care for her, but she knows that. She loves to live in NL with us, that I know and I can see.
