The Shining...Doctor Sleep Poem by Shaun Cronick

The Shining...Doctor Sleep

Rating: 5.0

Danny Torrance you've finally become a man,
Forty long tormented years since it all began.
Wishing your past was a securely closed book,
Your Shining directs you back to The Overlook.

To confront it's spirits and your inner demons,
To save a small child for all the right reasons.
And after all is said and now finally done,
That small child's mentor you've now become.

Apologies for the late reply Soran and thank you for your kind and always welcome comment. I'm a bit of a movie buff and enjoyed Stanley Kubrick's version of Stephen King's haunting novel. When I have the time, but, I enjoy poetry and your superb poems more now than movies. Take care Soran and keep writing my friend. Keep writing.
