The Silent Wonderings Of A Library Parton Poem by Melanie Weeks

The Silent Wonderings Of A Library Parton

Rating: 4.5

The silent wonderings
Of a library patron.

If books had feelings,
Would they be dissapointed and cry
When someone passes them by?
Would the you take pity and go back?

If the books had feelings,
Would their spirits fill with pride and joy
When they are looked at?

If books could talk aloud, would they ask
If you would read them?
Would they tell you that they NEED to be read?

If you don't read books, where are you?
You must be stuck right where you are,
With no place to go.

If you read different books, you go everywhere imaginable.
Yousail the stars, and dine on the moon.
You catch a killer, you solve a case.
You fail and have heartbreak,
You achieve and find love.

I believe the library holds answers
To life's many mysteries.
