The Singing Sea Poem by Joan Paterson

The Singing Sea

Rating: 5.0

I love the sea because it sings; at night
It ebbs and flows a lilting melody
In harmony with earth, in bright moonlight
I love the sea; because it sings at night
when bright stars peep, I close my eyes to sleep,
then float and drift to meet the blue; and deep
I love the sea because it sings; at night
it ebbs and flows a lilting melody.

Nice poem Joan, I have lived near the beach as well, but the waves thundering crashing down, sounded like I lived near an Airport: -(, Love dave
