The Sky Cries Poem by Heather Burns

The Sky Cries

Under a weeping willow sitting
wind courting the leaves

whispering softly
over and over a name

reaching in the evening
grasping for your hand

so near almost touching
suddenly slipping away

In the distance looking
a shadow approaching

now walking beside me
so familiar reflections of you

looking out over the water
clouds gather then moisture

raindrops begin to surface
the sky cries.

Wow a very beautiful and touching write. The sky cries then the rain like tear drops begins to fall. Even the weeping willow with its drooping branches adds imagery to your poem. I have two poems called Snowflakes an Diamonds in the Sky please read when you find a chance. A magnificent write this is.
