The Solitary Tree



A solitary tree
Rises
Pushes forth
from the center
of the earth
Reaches for the sky
Encountered by
Forceful Wind which
Shakes it relentlessly -

Buried seeds
Within the earth
Emerge gently above
Reach for the sky
One flower after another
Unaware that they
Have been met
With the gentleness
Of a welcoming sun
