The Song Of Life: 24. Make Thine Mind Equal, Win Or Loss Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

The Song Of Life: 24. Make Thine Mind Equal, Win Or Loss

Treating alike pleasure or pain,
Win or defeat, loss be or gain,
If ye engage in war to win,
Ye shall incur no shadow of sin. || 2.38 ||

Here is the transliteration with the meanings of Sanskrit words:

sukha-duhkhe same kŗtvālābha-alābhau jaya-ajayau |
tatah yuddhāya yujyasvana evam pāpam avāpsyasi ||

sukha-duhkhe: in happiness and sorrows, in pleasure and pain; same: alike, equal, the same; kŗtvā: treating, having done; lābha-alābhau: in gain and loss; jayā-ajayau: in victory and defeat; tatah: then; yuddhāya: to battle, to fighting (whatso karma at hand): yujyasva: do thou join, engage, yoke; na: not, never; evam: thus, in this way; pāpam: sin, evil; avāpsyasi: thou shalt incur, attain.
