The Soothing Night Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Soothing Night

Rating: 5.0

The night descends wearing
A secret cloak upon my eyes
As I lay down to dream and
Get lost in the world of peace

Then night spreads across me
The secret charm of its magic
Lulls me to sleep caressing my
Head with its invisible soft hand

The night comes and departs
Through the small window I
Fixed on the wall for the moon
To slip into the room and shine

A beautiful poetic thought making thick night palpable and romantic. Pity, moon made an untimely intrusion. Thanks for sharing an interesting poem. X
