Missing am I that rare sound of silence
Which, heard I'd only in mind, not in ears,
And ah what a unique kind of silence—
The sound coming as if from far off spheres!
A virtual symphony that'd all hearts please—
Take whispered sighs of the parched desert sand
Caressed by unseen wind with its soft hand,
Gossip of leaves rustling, ruffled by breeze,
The breathing of rain-washed gigantic trees,
Smiles of flowers blossoming in their youth,
In hurry to hail hasting sun to ease,
And sundry sounds losing in noise their truth.
Lost rhythm of our breath heard never ere,
The murmur of heart beat, and pulse of blood,
And our own hungry stomach's keen fervour
That heretofore vaguely felt as faint thud.
The unlock phase one welcome was found,
But my heart now goes back to lockdown's time,
Its leisurely pace, soft rhythm and rhyme,
And missing I'm that silence-born rare sound.

Wow what a echo in descriptions in colored personifications. Thanks
Sound of silence is beautifully written classic poem. Its merit is suitably worded rhyme. Nowadays most of the poems look like colloquial prose dialogue.
