The Story Of The Boy Child Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

The Story Of The Boy Child

Rating: 5.0

In every young man, there is a cry of longing.
A longing for an identity shrouded in obscurity,
While he listens to love songs that drive him through a maze of decadence
He realises that he has been castrated.
Yet the burden of siring progeny hangs heavy on his loins.
He has but one easy escape: smoke himself to a stupor.
For he has been emasculated, deactivated and de humanised.
The boy child is born to be blamed!

You make me laugh. Don't envy girls but yes at times boyes are over exageratingly dehumanised and blamed.

Excellent poem. There is so much talk about girl children boys are starting to lose their marbles...maballs..pun intended. Do i detect a bit of the Son of Man metaphor here considering the burden Jesus carried. Great poesy..
