The Stranger Poem by Ankita Bhattacharjee

The Stranger

Rating: 4.8

Mystic were her eyes,
A beautiful hazel gaze.
Quiet and charming,
Yet so loud.

Her skin so smooth,
Yet has a texture of its own.
A beautiful shade of honey
Almost blending into the beige of her dress.

Her voice so melodious,
It reaches deep into the heart.
A cute pair of dimples adorn her cheek,
Dancing to the melody of her laughter.

Just then, the bus comes to a halt.
She rushes out of the exit door,
And gets lost in the crowd.
And here I sit,
Wishing to see her again
Sometime in the future
In a crowded city bus.

Dear poet, I think the girl is yourself. you are writing the poem in the point of view of the boy. this is my guessing.it may be correct.

A cute pair of dimples adorn her cheek, Dancing to the melody of her laughter. Though, there is no direct connection with a fellow commuter in a city but sometimes, he or she leave a lasting impression with appearance, speech or mannerism. Nice portrayal. Thanks.

Her voice so melodious, It reaches deep into the heart. A cute pair of dimples adorn her cheek, Dancing to the melody of her laughter. Falling into love with a stranger a girl and her beauty and her fine dress. Loved this poem.. it is very melodious and naturally very poetic. tony

Very nicely said. Should have said hello but sometimes we can't for whatever reason. I hope you meet her again.
