Towards A New Day Poem by Ankita Bhattacharjee

Towards A New Day

Rating: 5.0

In the midst of storming heartbeats
Words ooze out of the cracks of my heart,
Staining the clean white paper
With a hue of blue.
Hours pass,
But I go on.
And then a golden light fills the room.
Yes, it is morning again;
And with it come the obligations
Of a monotonous life;
A busy day,
An evening of prayers,
And a raging night.

a beautiful poetic write tender and charming...it has shades of dark and yet is light and so many lives go on that way... its a recognition of that humdrum and mundane period of existence. nice..liked
