The Street - Poem by Dorsey Baker

The street
is a very dirty place
where its so
very hard to keep yourself clean
if you know what I mean
The street
is just a very very dirty place
it wears no mask
it wears no false face

If you are out there
in the street
the best thing you cando
is get out
while you still can
you can't be no girl
you've got to be a woman
you can't be no boy
you've got to be a man
if you let it
the street will take you down
the street
is just like the devil
if you let it
it will mess you around!
