The Sunshine Poem by David Harris

The Sunshine

Sunshine crept through
my window this morn
its warmth on my face
made me feel reborn.

The dark clouds
that hovered over my head
and the frown
that covered my face.

Disappeared within
the glow in my heart
and smiles and laughter
replaced my frown.

It told me in its warmth
where I was going wrong
giving me back to strength
to turn my life around.

The sunshine also told me
to get a grip on myself,
don't try to be someone else,
just be myself alone.

If people don't like you
for what you are
that's tough on them
because you are an individual.

Those very wise words
spoken to me by the sun
I hope other will take heed
and just be themselves.

A poem after my own heart! As many members here already know, my very favorite bit of advice to offer often is To be true to you! Always! Guess I don't have to advise you! You've got it!
