As life goes on, time can surely sever
the ties that bind us in
sweet surrender.
Once you thrilled
me
with forbidden fruit
rendering a broken heart
Some hearts
don't heal once they're broken
All my words from a
blood stained heart
have yet to be spoken.
If the solid ground ever shifts under your feet.
if your power positions begin to crumble
when embargo's are lifted
My love will appear,
like the bang of a gun
I'll pull the cork from your bottle.
When it's all said and done
downing your periscopes
So, your torpedoes
can never again
blow this heart to smithereens..
I'm now more aware of what
you've been packing
your brand of weaponry
could rip me most any
good man in two
If you ever show up again
to make a special appearance
My eyes will be wider open.
my head much clearer
I'd no longer be as easy to fool
by cuddly, sweet brassy,
petite, sassy ole you.

Ties that bind, the unwritten silent bond of heartache that will surely come to an end with a broken heart. An addiction that continues to pull your mind into it's circumference even in memories, taunting you in life. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
