The Wave Poem by amber roser

The Wave

Rating: 4.7

A wave came forth from the ocean
and broke upon the shore,
here on desolation's beach
I remember you once more

The dull grey sky in contrast
to the blue shadow of the sea,
the icy wind blows eastern
can you remember me?

A solitary gull
on the shelf of winters draft,
his forlorn cry now echoes
round the place where we once laughed.

Now i spread your ashes
and they're swept up and away,
to fly where i can't follow -
to find another day.

I walk towards the water,
with the ocean i am one
and as i sink to darkness
I swim towards the sun.
