As enigmatic, enthralling, exquisite,
as scarlet spikes of Coral Bean,
as flaming yellow Sunflowers,
as fiery orange Tiger Lilies;

you are the woman
who makes me forget everything
during this short dance under the sun

for I am as moonstruck,
madcap, mesmerized
by you

as honey bees daft on drafts
of Orange Crush,

as sailors soliloquized
by Odysseus’s Sirens,
as seers first sighting
shooting stars!
