There Is A Listening Ear Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

There Is A Listening Ear

If you stumble on life's path,
Faith dragging, heart broken,
Don't look down, keep looking ahead.
There is so much more to see and do,
You have not failed, it is just a rock in the road,
You did not chance to see,
Gave you a bump on the head, just as a warning,
There are twist and turns as we journey.
Look up to the sky, God is on high,
Way above the clouds but your voice will carry
To his listening ear as you speak out in silent prayer or
Whispers, or shout out loud in desperation.
keep looking ahead, life is a challenge, be steadfast
