Born as a child, we've come to know
This 'family' so they call
With whom we'll spend majority of life
It's a 'yes ‘ mandatory state
Well yeah they care for all I care
Well yeah they came to help
As if the work would burden down
Rather, it piles up
Why don't they learn to stay away
And leave me alone to myself
It would be better if they'd do that
If 'peace' was to be made
But on and on they stick like glue
Chatter and blabber about
They scold and shout, with rage about
Over their shoulders I stare
So I grew up, successful? yes
With wealth and love and faith
I have decided to do one thing
And regret some stuff I did
I came back home, tears in my eyes
To thank this 'family' who cared
Who never gave up, when all fell down
Who loved without wanting rewards
I apologized for the things I've done
For shouting back like mad
For seeming to ignore their wise advice
Even though, by heart, I learned...
In reality, we don't get to choose
This 'family' so they call
But endure life with them, the good the bad
And learn the gift called 'Love'..
It takes a lot of courage to utter such words.. to simply accept mistakes.. good one DAn Dan..
I think you captured the ways of many, in realizing the unity of familyy. If no family WHAT? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
''I apologized for the things I've done For shouting back like mad For seeming to ignore their wise advice Even though, by heart, I learned...'' very mature....keep writing...10++
