This Morning's Rain And Its Refrain

reading, yes I really did read early this morning
Rain!
so my heart was instantly torn

predicted by the weather forecast,
rain again? !
and then?

so I started singing
yes, I started singing again
when?

Morning, afternoon, and evening:
Rain, rain, and more rain

no poetry, no story, no narration,
for this occasion,
but rain, rain, and more rain

when?
morning, afternoon, and evening:
I started singing again:

Rain, rain, and more rain!
no thunder
even when I'm in Down Under,

suddenly,
downtrodden,
by the world-famous walking in the rain,
by whom?
excuse me, please
must hurry:
to the bathroom
or rest-room?

In each case
in the morning race
I walk in the rain
just walking in the rain,
trained walking in the rain
trained to be soaking wet
finally,
no storm or hurricane,
just so healthy
rain rain and rain
