This Perpetual Kiss - Poem by J Allen Demos

The quiet induces a whisper in the wind,
Ti's the gentleness of your sweet voice.
Here in the shadows on this mystical moon-lit night,
The lake is calm, the reflections vivid.
Your radiant smile glistens upon the water.

Across the horizon, just past what the eye can see,
There lies the perfect beyond.
Shrouded by the dark of night,
Fragrances of eternal spring blossom.
Spared from life's day to day struggles,
On virgin sands yet untouched
Two young lovers run wild and free.

As light awakens, the calm tranquil silence is broken,
The night must rest, the dreamer sleep.
But the dream never ends.
Though alone, I know you're with me.
Your lips press to mine.
Always together in this perpetual kiss.
