Those Special Times Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Those Special Times

Rating: 5.0

That tender hum of sun-kissed bees,
Each flower touched so lightly blessed.
A moment i remember well,
A child i was, so free from stress.

My mothers call from open door,
I hear it now so clear as day.
My Fathers smile so kind, so warm,
I think about them everyday.

That garden was my haven then.
A time that is so distant now,
If only to go back again,
To feel the sun upon my brow.

I'll hold those memories close to heart,
For never shall they go away,
The warmest days I've ever known,
Those special times,
Those sunny days.

It feels something nostalgic. In this poem lovingly remembers a peaceful childhood filled with family warmth, nature, and happy moments, while expressing deep nostalgia for those lost sunny days.
