Those Trying To Be You Poem by Ellen Ni Bheachain

Those Trying To Be You

Those that see you when busy you be,
Moving in places and working to get there,
Where you are and where you be,
That brings you out and about so to gain,
The needs and wants of what is yours by choice,

Yet those that see you out and about,
When happy and known till,
Something happened and things go wrong,
So, for the best I had to leave,
And while I was gone,
Someone else claimed my place,

My name and identify at that time,
Was taken by another,
Unknown to me,
My place in time,
My place in ways,
My place in knowing,
My place of good memories,

Its starts with them showing concern in misleading ways,
Finding out about you and what you do,
In order to settle in,
And take your place when you are not there,
Enters in the one,
That comes in with letters first written,
Saying they are you,
And with the poison pen of false hand,
Leaving them believing I had left for good,

Till once again when you return,
Where memory of pictures,
Are scattered and not in perspective vision,
Of what in truth went on,
Is now in distorted and misleading,
So not sure what to say,
Or even believe,
Yet,
Knowledge and knowing cannot be explained,
And what is there now is a bigger threat,
And has settled into your life back then,

So,
With what is now,
And what is done,
What is best,
Is how it's done,
Still, it is easier to handle the facts,
And put the jigsaw of your life back,
That caused confusion and false accusations,
Back then,

And when they had taken all they sought,
The happy memories were torn and scattered,
And you are left to put the missing pieces back,
That is the feeling when a person identify is taken,
For misuse by others,
The disarray and confusion distort the truth of your life,
And you are left to explain it all,
When you the person,
Is the most confused of all.
