Remains of what was left to be seen,
Yet, noting written, reported to be known or seen,
To be seen that is righteous Law, Order & Justice,
All in all, an act and told that way,
From those long gone who wrote the first act,
Án Gardaí Siochana Act 1922,
For it was the way back then when the Republic of Éire was forming themselves,
A formation back then,
That ran the Black and Tans out of here,
And hence formed their own,
In Law, Order & Justice,
The birth of Án Gardaí Síochana,
Alas, it seems these days,
That some have gone back,
To those days of old,
When Black & Tans ruled in ÉIRE /Republic of Ireland,
With no Law, Order or Justice,
And raping and pillaging all our forefathers and Mothers,
Hence, the act of 1922 and so forth,
And now it is 2020,
What my eyes have seen,
Reminds me of our history pages back then,
Yet, some of that uniform,
Of 1922 are now walking, running, and driving now,
Just like back then,
When the Black & Tans were violating,
All of ours gone before us,
Hence back to why I write this narrative poem,
And here is how it goes,
All that happened to you and me,
And all the rest gone but not forgotten,
And especially those that remain unnamed,
Will relate to what they have just read,
It was a just act then and now gone wrong,
What you see it what you've got,
And when even justice cannot prevail,
You know it is everybody for themselves,
Just like the old days of our history told straight,
To give one power and entrust in them,
When they go astray and never pulled up on their wrongs,
When they do wrong,
On what they do and what they say,
On duty, off duty,
All goes astray,
And when you have suffered by the hands of those,
That use their power that the city sworn in,
A uniform, a shield, access to details,
And CCTV.
What can I say,
But this old cliché,
Never Let History Repeat Itself,
For if you do,
The Black & Tans Return,
Only this time it is some of the grandsons,
Of Án Gardaí Síochana Act 1922.
Even in the modern era We prefer to be inhuman Led by instincts. That's why the violence all over the world Against humanity. Good poem
when even justice cannot prevail......... raises the question who could dispense justice...interesting points raised
