Though Some People Poem by Francis Duggan

Though Some People

Though some people do not believe in live and let live
Those who have sinned against us we must try to forgive
For any grudges you bear causes spiritual decay
And eats the compassion that is in you away,
To forgive in some cases is not an easy thing
But peace of mind and soul to you it will bring
The grudge that you bear into bitterness grow
The cause of your anger you have to let go
Of and get on with your life and regain your peace of mind
In the act of forgiveness one only does find
A new lightness of being and more light in your soul
Hanging on to a grudge of your nerves does take toll
And though some do not believe on to live and let live
For your own sake those who have sinned against you perhaps you should forgive.
