Though With A Heavy Heart Poem by Bryce Edward Coast

Though With A Heavy Heart

Though with a heavy heart
Full as the clouds before a storm
Still through life we must endeaver
Like top athletes would perform
After woe leaves us bedridden
When a loved abruptly dies
It's resilience, like the sun
That makes us once again arise
Self-defeat will get us nowhere
Suicide sends us to hell
So in faith, in hope, good memories
We try to only to dwell
Giving our commemoration
Paying tribute with our best
Knowing, somewhere in the heavens
Someone watching is impressed
The batons were passed to us
So there should only be one choice
No matter what... keep going
Ringing in our ears, their voice
Saying its a marathon
To stay the course, and finish strong
Keep the inner fire burning
Flip the hourglass, prolong
Show the same enthusiasm
Once so easy to contrive
When the pieces of the puzzle, were intact
Those lost, alive
Clearing any trace of tears
We put a smile back on our face
Turning back to let the world see
Our own amazing grace
