Thoughts Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Thoughts

the gentle breeze of the midnight
air brushes across her face. Sitting
on the rooftop, watching the moon
watch her. No tears, just sudden
thoughts that creep aroud every
corner in her mind. The gamble,
she tells herself, is only in her mind,
it's not real, shes happy, why blow it?
Some habits die hard if they do at all,
but she tells herself that it won't be
her to make her fall, no not again.
She takes a deep breath, trying to
block all those lies. She's seen alot
of things, she notices, she observes,
she thinks way to much about all
the wrong things. As the moon disapears
and the sun slowly rises, she goes
back inside to get ready for the next day,
maybe it will be a better one.

kinda sad, but i like it. its hard to be happy all the time whenever the world is how it is, but there is always hope no matter what the situation is.
