Three Balloons Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Three Balloons

Looky hear, I have three balloons
One is red and two are blue
So happy I with three balloons
Three for me and none for you

But after mother gave her boy a stare
He knew right then that he should share
Tempt, his mother's look he did not dare
Therefore, he gave one up to show he cared

Looky here, I have two balloons
One is red and one is blue
You got none and I got two
Lucky me and pity you

Now, once again, he got that stare
Tempt mother not and show you care
Thus, one he kept and one he shared
After all it does seem fair

Looky here, I have one balloon
My favorite color deep sky blue
You don't have one, but I still do
So you can have my fine balloon

At last the boy, He finally understood
You care for others because you should
The reason for his mother's stare
How good it feels when you share
