Time To Speak, Church! Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Time To Speak, Church!

There is a time to be meek
And to silently hold one's peace
But now is the time to speak
When the Truth is diluted like this
To accept what is wrong is weak
And to compromise just to please
God's principles are all we seek
For His wisdom will never cease.

So I do not pretend to agree
To those who may think I offend
Though all men were made to be free
Not all freedom is right, dear friend
Today we all need the Truth to see
That a man with a woman in marriage lend
What God had planned in matrimony
Not the kind we consider now a trend.

A marriage is what they have they say
Two people of the same sex tie the knot
A bond or partners, a union of gays
But a 'marriage' I say - it is not.
What is wrong then cannot be right today
No matter what human laws have forgot
What God has said will always stay
When He says it's a sin - that's a lot!

a work of art on your faith I wonder why Christians pick out the parts they like while ignoring the accounts of rape, incest, slavery, torture and infanticide also found in the Bible! ?
