Time Turner - Poem by Vijay Sai

Saturday evening
Sun settling down
Everyone in holiday mood
Waiting for the next day
Sharing lighter moments
Having savories
Enjoying melodies
Journey as usual
Returning home
Back from work
Hectic and toiling
Travelling in a vehicle
With a strength of around twenty
Men and women
Young and not so old
Pregnant women too
All seemed normal
The same as ever
Twenty minutes from resumption
When all of a sudden
When everyone in relaxing mood
The vehicle
Kissing the side median
Losing control
Altogether completely
Swerving here and there
Swaying criss cross
So violently
Unable to hold
Toppling down
Within seconds
Miraculous happening
Myself standing still
Out of the van
Hearing a thud
Sound of broken glasses
Safe and secure
Went through the vehicle
One or two men
Much as myself
Helping all and sundry
Out of the dreaded vehicle
Very soon
Many of them
Admitted in hospital
Emergency care given
Much to relief
Of everyone
All out of danger
Stable as pronounced
By doctors
Working hard
In their dedicated profession
All our group
Injuries though
But manageable
Thank God
Prayers to Almighty
Answered at instant
An experience
Life saving
Still in mind
Echoing forever…

    Aloha Vijay...

Thank you for the invitation to peruse... descriptive writing is so much fun! Even when the scene being described is not that positive... However; the outcome is more on the 'thank god' everything was fine... Not often does such an event come out so well... Makes one wonder though... perhaps everyone on the ride needs to do something else... before their times are called to an end... I find these thoughts in your words...

    Evening sun is setting down
    everyone awaits another day
    sharing moments, enjoying melodies
how very savory is the thought of this
Home, work, and that commute here and there
a score of everyday people blindly living
so very normal as is each day
until the snapping of this or that part or cable
    and in this instant de-je-vu
the world for a moment, upside down
and in scattered memories and numbing visions
I truly experienced the loving hands of 'him'...
God Almighty answered and this instant
no one was maimed or killed...
    an experience saving lives
'His' smile is in my mind; IAM still
    clearly whole and thankfully clear
    forever echoing my deepest thanks
for I have so much more to share...

All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two

Echoing forever… The whole description in continuous tense ends in God. Very very good. We shall all thank God. we all travel wherever we are in the world, in car, bus, train cycles, planes, in ships. May God bless all those who travel. thank you Vijai
