To An Ex-Friend Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

To An Ex-Friend

Rating: 4.7

You told me, we were friends
But you went out with others
And you never included me
And you never wanted me
Around yr family
Yr sisters thought I was weird
That's why I didn't want to be friends
Anymore
You were ashamed of me
And I felt it
You even told me you thought I was funny
Not the joke-telling kind
But the kind of being embarrassed by
And the only time you called
Is when you were stuck on a math problem
I don't regret leaving the friendship
Because, to tell you the truth
It was for my mental health

We all have some of these! Wisely said! Sounds to me it was a one sided equation which did not add up. You are smart to try another formula, this time both sides being equal.
