To Be Young Again Poem by Richard Wlodarski

To Be Young Again

I wish I were
So young again
With sight restored
For the sunrise
Shining beauty
On your precious soul

I wish I were
So young again
With hearing restored
Nightingale's love
Singing song for you

I wish I were
So young again
With smell restored
Roses blooming
On sad afternoon

I wish I were
So young again
With taste restored
Melting love for
Tastefulness in you

I wish I were
So young again
With touch restored
For grasping such
Awesomeness in you

I wish I were young again, for similar reasons. Again you use the different senses-smell, taste, touch, sight- effectively and inclusively. A lesson to other poets.
