To Be Your Ambassadors Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

To be your ambassadors
That we understand
and support one another,
that we have patience
with one another
and forbearance with
ourselves, that we see
need even when it is hidden
and help where our help
is needed, that we do
not use violence and
that we preserve
the integrity of creation,
that we remain
open to God's word;
that is what we are
planning for today,
and for all the days
of life that you, God,
give us in your love.

Sent us to be
your ambassadors
of peace in this mad world.
