I never did,
Have it, did I?
That deep fulfillment,
That sometimes love can give,
Making the Earth rounder
And all around it live.
I never had it, did I?
The warmth within your hands,
That thru touch would introduce me,
To non-existing lands.
I never even knew you,
That you might understand,
That my love for you,
Was like the trickling,
Of the hourglass's, sand.
And still I love you to this day
Even if no words were ever spoken,
In a most imaginary and invisible way.
Love is complicated... and not. I love the line about love making the earth rounder and making people 'live.' Thanks for sharing Sandra. Each stanza is sad and wistful...I never had it did it...never, never, and yet I still love you to this day....in a most imaginary way....unrequited love?
There are very few poets who can write of love as you do, Sandra. I don't believe I have ever understood the romantic aspect of it, let alone been on the receiving end, but your words give a glimpse into what it must be like.

I would like to translate this poem
Aloha Sandra... Sand Hisses through the hour glass... Camel ticks trickle across the sand as you walk by... do not get bit by a camel tick! walk faster that that sand hissing through that hour glass! an anology of what love truly is... to most humans... thinking it is something that you can pick up out of a great big sandbox and play with and not get bit by and poisoned... Love Stinks... J Geils Band... really fine word work though... in a most imaginary and invisible way... All of the best from this life, to you, and all of your relations... Michaelw1two
