To Hiss, Boo Or Cheer Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Whoever debates prepared or not.
Or wherever the state that debate takes place,
To awaken those listening,
Awaiting to hear truths or facts.
Anyone who witnesses will know this to be true...
Gas prices will not return,
To be below a 'buck'.
Nor will one's quality of life increase to go up!
From fears already appearing,
People try but can no longer deny.

People will not automatically,
Decide to express more love.
And the creditors and taxes at a price we pay,
Will not disappear from anyone to instantly go away.
No matter who is patted on the back,
To win in a staged and electrifying performance...
That leaves an audience to hiss, boo or cheer,
With an understanding that has been made clear...
Who will represent their interests,
To produce a lower cost of living that benefits.
