Come to me in the silence of a dream
With your smiles so bright
And eyes sparkling with laughter
Like the sunlight on a silver beam
Whisper you 'hip hop' hymns
With a thirsty longing voice
With your breathless breath
As the shadowy starlight dims
Parade your songs and 'basement' Mass
And act as if you had no clue
What God had in store for you
As He finally called His golden lass
And now, listening to the 'Hey Soul Sister' tune
I hear you belting your evening song
Even cajoling the angels along
While you dance on the Long Night's Moon.
